Dongfeng DF6 pickups, which are rightly called Chinese copies of Nissan Navara, have appeared at Russian DFM dealers.
Recall that the company announced the start of sales of DF6 in Russia on May 31. For some time, information about the car hung on the official DFM website, but then disappeared. Now no information about the pickup can be found on the brand’s portal. But the model itself is finally available for purchase. For cars manufactured in 2022, the dealer asks for RUB 2,790,000 .
The Dongfeng DF6 is essentially a licensed copy of the Nissan Navara and is even produced by a joint venture of Zhengzhou Nissan Automobile. According to the received model OTTS, its dimensions are 5310 x 1850 x 1810 mm, wheelbase 3150 mm, ground clearance – 220 mm. The dimensions of the cargo compartment are 1520 x 1520 x 475 mm, which is enough to load a euro pallet. The maximum permissible total weight is 2459 kg, that is, this pickup truck will be able to drive inside the capital’s “cargo frame”. Its front suspension is independent, on double transverse levers, the rear one is dependent spring.
Dongfeng DF6 is certified with two turbo diesel engines. The 2.3-liter unit produces 163 hp, the 2.5-liter engine is designed for 136 hp. The first is combined with a 5-speed manual gearbox or an 8-band “automatic”, the second – only with a manual transmission. The drive in both cases is only full. It is made according to the classic “part-time” scheme with a rigidly connected front axle and a reduction gear in the transfer case.
Currently, several Chinese pickups are being sold in Russia. In particular, JAC has a T6 model at a price of RUB 2.3-2.5 million. Great Wall offers simpler Wingle 7 for RUB 3 million and premium Poer for RUB 3.6-3.75 million. As for Dongfeng, its lineup officially includes DFM 580 crossovers for RUB 1.9-2.2 million and Captain-T light trucks for RUB 1.7-1.83 million.
